On a local level, whereas the Massachusetts State Police maintain aerial surveillance technology, the Boston Police Department utilizes a mobile ground unit. The two agencies share video stream for interagency deployments. Through interoperable technology, efficiency and public safety are ensured which increases the potential for rapid resolution. Interoperability has fostered unprecedented interagency cooperation in both critical operations management and expanded funding capabilities in that the combination of both agencies’ resources is developed for one common interoperable goal.
